PUBG Mobile India fans are eagerly waiting for the launch of the rebranded Indian version of the battle royale game - Battlegrounds India Mobile. The game built specifically for the Indian audiences is expected to see the light of the day on June 18 and Karfaton - the developers - are constantly teasing fans of Battlegrounds India Mobile with new teasers and information. 

Krafton also recently announced that the Battlegrounds India Mobile had crossed over 20 million Pre-Registration in India. The registration of Battlegrounds India Mobile was opened on May 18 for Android users. It is available on Google Play Store for Pre-Registration. Krafton also rolled out India-centric rewards on pre-registration of the game that can be claimed when the game will be launched in India. These games include Recon Outfit, Recon Mask, in-game currency, Celebration Expert Title, and 300 AG.

PUBG Mobile for India, known as Battlegrounds Mobile India, is happening soon. Krafton, the South Korean company that owns the PUBG and Battlegrounds Mobile IP, has been teasing the release of the game. The last one literally dropped a major hint, according to which the Battlegrounds Mobile India release will take place on June 18. The launch later this week is something industry insiders have also been hinting at. So, if everything is true, PUBG Mobile will make a comeback to India on June 18.

The June 18 launch makes sense because it falls right after a month from the day the pre-registration for Battlegrounds Mobile India began. And that is just for Android -- through the Google Play Store. This means that the launch on June 18 is not going to include the iPhone version of the game. It does not mean Battlegrounds Mobile India for iOS is not happening. It is just Krafton is taking its sweet time to finesse the game for the iPhone and will start pre-registration soon, according to the website. Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India is going to weigh around 600MB on Android. This means that you need to have at least 600MB free on your phone to download the game. But, actually, you will need to have a lot more space to be able to run the game properly. Your phone needs to be on Android 5.1 or higher version, which means all new Android phones are supported. The RAM on your phone has to be at least 2GB, which is also something most phones will have. Smartphones with Android Go software will not support the game because of RAM constraints. Of course, the performance of the game will depend on how good the specifications of your phone are, but you need to at least have the basic ones to be able to run the game. And, of course, you need a good internet connection.

Permissions

If you are under 18, Battlegrounds Mobile India will require you to get consent from your parents or guardians. This will happen through mobile number verification, but the exact method is not available right now. It may be a one-time password-based verification where you will have to provide the game with a mobile number to get OTP and you will gain access to the game only after entering it. Krafton may also set up a calling helpline for parents to prevent kids from practising any fraud here, because getting an OTP on a phone of a parent is something that does not look like a strict restriction.

Krafton has not officially announced the launch date, but it is highly likely Battlegrounds Mobile India will be released on June 18. We will find out more in the coming days.
